Sustainable Logistics
Our Initiatives
Cross Border Logistics is committed to building a sustainable domestic delivery network that enables overseas shippers, e-commerce businesses, and freight forwarders—particularly those in China—to expand their operations in the Japanese market with confidence.
Our goal is not simply to transport goods.
We aim to create a logistics system that optimizes delivery costs for shippers, provides drivers with a stable and rewarding working environment, and delivers consistent service quality over the long term.
1. Building a Nationwide Delivery Network in Japan
As cross-border e-commerce continues to grow, shipment volumes within Japan are expected to increase.
At the same time, the shortage of delivery drivers is becoming increasingly serious. Even when products sell well, they cannot reach customers unless sufficient drivers and vehicles are available.
We are strengthening partnerships with delivery companies, logistics partners, distribution hubs, and drivers nationwide to create flexible delivery operations tailored to regional needs and shipment volumes.
Rather than relying solely on major carriers, we provide shippers with a reliable second or third delivery network.
2. Promoting a Driver-First Approach
High-quality delivery begins with an environment in which drivers feel that their work is rewarding and worth continuing.
Excessive workloads, long waiting times, complicated procedures, and unclear compensation structures make it difficult to retain drivers and maintain consistent service quality.
We are working to establish appropriate delivery volumes, efficient route planning, simplified on-site operations, and transparent compensation systems so that drivers can focus on delivery.
By supporting drivers, we help reduce misdeliveries, delivery failures, and delays while improving handling quality and protecting the trust and profitability of our clients.
3. Streamlining Multi-Tiered Subcontracting Structures
In the traditional logistics industry, multiple companies and subcontractors may stand between the shipper and the driver who completes the final delivery.
As a result, administrative fees and commissions are added at each stage, creating a significant gap between the delivery fees paid by shippers and the compensation received by drivers.
We bring shippers, freight forwarders, and delivery operations closer together to reduce unnecessary intermediary costs.
The savings are used both to lower delivery costs for shippers and to improve driver compensation and working conditions.
This creates a sustainable delivery model that benefits both shippers and drivers.
4. Centralized Delivery Management
After goods arrive in Japan and clear customs, they pass through multiple stages, including intake, sorting, vehicle allocation, delivery, redelivery, and delivery completion management.
We centrally manage these domestic delivery operations to reduce the operational burden on shippers and freight forwarders.
By managing the entire process from cargo intake to final-mile delivery, we improve visibility and enable faster responses when issues arise.
5. Using Proprietary Delivery Systems
Improving delivery quality and operational efficiency requires not only industry experience, but also effective technology.
We are developing an integrated delivery system that manages shipment registration, sorting, vehicle allocation, route planning, driver instructions, delivery completion, and failed-delivery management.
By visualizing delivery operations and reducing the workload at each site, we create a system that is easy for shippers to understand and practical for drivers to use.
6. Expanding Delivery Operations Step by Step
Many shippers are hesitant to entrust a large shipment volume to a new delivery provider from the beginning.
We therefore offer trial deliveries in selected regions or with smaller shipment volumes.
Clients can evaluate delivery quality, transit times, completion rates, and operational support before gradually expanding shipment volumes and service areas.
We believe in starting small, building a proven track record, and developing a stable delivery network step by step.
7. Building Long-Term Partnerships with Shippers
Logistics is not built on one-time transactions, but on long-term relationships and mutual trust.
Rather than focusing only on short-term pricing, we work closely with shippers to understand their sales plans, expected shipment growth, regional expansion, and peak-season requirements.
Together, we build delivery operations designed for future growth.
Our mission is to create a sustainable logistics model in which shippers, freight forwarders, logistics partners, and drivers respect one another’s roles and grow together.
Supporting Sales Growth with Reliable Delivery
In the future of cross-border e-commerce, business growth will depend not only on the ability to sell products, but also on the ability to deliver them reliably.
Through cost optimization, a driver-first approach, a nationwide delivery network, and advanced logistics systems, Cross Border Logistics is building a new logistics infrastructure connecting China and Japan.
